Lost & Heroes reveal best episodes of the season

Heroes started the week off with a bang (literally) by jumping into the future 5 years and showing us a dystopia in the making.  This is certainly a well worn comic book device and I was afraid they might not pull it off, but it was quite good.  And it sets up the rest of the season nicely.  Hiro’s storyline is no longer meandering, it has purpose and that is a good thing.

Lost also seems to be gaining some speed.  What direction it is heading in is still a bit of a mystery, but at least we are going somewhere.  I knew somewhere along the way, they were going to link Locke’s dad to Sawyer, but I didn’t think they’d actually bring him to the island.  I’m not sure which character is more lost.  Jack and Locke seem destined for a showdown and I hear 4 more deaths are scheduled for the rest of the season.  That’s good, there are too many characters right now.  May should be a good month of serialized TV, I hope.  Bring it on.
