Other hot titles are by Imogen Heap, Hellogoodbye Music, Cascada, Amy Winehouse, Fratellis and more.  Popular soundtracks include Eragon, Pirates, Step Up, Last Kiss.  All of a sudden, we have multiple Pink Floyd works with tons of holds on them and I can’t figure out why there is such a spike in their popularity all of a sudden.  I like seeing all the holds on the Kink Live disc, but I wish I would have bought more.  I was unsure about ordering the new Tom Waits as well since it was expensive, but the holds queue makes me glad I did.  Looks like we finally caught up with Norah Jones too.  She and John Mayer drop off the list.  If we have 8 or 9 copies of a CD, it’s going to circulate at least 16 times a month, probably more like 22 since most don’t keep them the full three weeks.  I’m speculating on this, but I think the Fray and Snow Patrol CD’s stay on demand each month because so many people continue to put them on hold.  Some of the other artists stay because they are too edgy or new to warrant too many copies yet, especially from the smaller libraries in the system.  Artists still need hits, imagine that.  Timerlake jumps up again this month because he has a hit.  Damien Rice gets a song in Shrek and he makes the list.  Nothing from Norah Jones’ CD is catching on yet, so the new holds drop off.
