Top songs on our Ipods for 2007

It’s time for those year end lists and I’m a sucker for them as well.  There’s nothing like empirical data too, so here is a look at what got played the most on our iPod’s this year.

New Shoes – Paolo Nutini (Fun song that we all liked and did not get tired of)
Grey in LA – Loudon Wainwright (Thank the movie ‘Knocked Up’ for this and #4)
How Far We’ve Come- Matchbox Twenty (Happiest end of the world song ever)
Daughter – Loudon Wainwright (Played this one for my daughter a lot)
What I’ve Done – Linkin Park (another energetic sad song)
9 Crimes – Damien Rice (just plain sad, but so well done)
See the World – Gomez (don’t know anything else about these guys, but loved this song)
Arrow – Cheryl Wheeler (older song that I rediscovered)
The Underdog – Spoon (Love the horns on this, I’m trying to figure out the guitar parts myself)
You Are Loved – Josh Groban (Yes, he’s cheesy, but cheese tastes good too)
Chasing Cars – Snow Patrol (Wife and kids love this one)
1973 – James Blunt (Good sophomore CD)
Love Song – Sara Bareilles (I remember getting this one for free on iTunes and she took off after that – free works sometimes).
Lovestoned – Justin Timberlake (Great songs just keep coming off of this CD)
Where I Stood – Missy Higgins (Got airplay on Smallville, I’m looking forward to the whole CD)
Belief – John Mayer (leftover from last year)
Join the Parade – Marc Cohn (standout song from his new CD which was a long time coming)
Falling Slowly – Once Soundtrack (Still waiting to see this movie)
You’re All I Have – Snow Patrol (I liked this one better than ‘Chasing Cars’)
Brothers on a Hotel Bed – Death Cab for Cutie (Another hold out from last year)
The Luckiest – Ben Folds (This one resonates with the wife a lot)
Apologize – OneRepublic (This definitely grows on you)
1234 – Feist (Got tired of this one, the album didn’t do much for me either)
Into the Night – Santana (Santana certainly knows who to pair up with on his CDs, here he gets help from Chad Kroeger again from Nickelback.)
